Project summary:

The ability to site-selectively functionalise (co)polymers and nanoassemblies, i.e. micelles, rapidly under facile conditions for specialty applications such as imaging and targeted drug delivery continues to be an important area of research. To this end we are exploring a range of thiol-based "click" chemistries as  a modular approach to preparing highly functional and complex macromolecules and assemblies with "smart" aqueous solution properties with potential applications in biomedicine.
